Hello
I'm glad you are here and hope to meet you soon! Inside this website I hope to attract future clients and serve as a community resource for those seeking more information regarding holistic psychiatry - more to be added soon.
Fun facts about me: I'm a wife and mother to three boys! It is very loud in my house. In my spare time I enjoying gardening & landscaping, exercising, learning about healthy eating, sci-fic movies, soccer, taking my boys biking, thrift shopping, reading, and listening to insightful books and podcasts.
My Story - Told Authentically
Growing up, I was the oldest of six children with a challenging upbringing, that I like to think made me stronger. I experienced the impact mental illness can have on the entire family, but I also witnessed and experienced the goodness and mercies that come with a community of faith and personal belief. From humble beginnings, belief in Jesus Christ gave (and stills gives) me a hope for the future and made me who I am today.

Who I am today is more than just a career, but it is worth noting I attended the University of Southern Indiana and became a registered nurse in 2007, and later a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in 2019. For the majority of my nursing career I worked in the emergency room (and still do), but I've also worked in correctional nursing and as a flight nurse. With maturity and a desire to make a lasting difference working at a slower pace, I decided to pursue becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner. As a new newly graduated and employed nurse practitioner, I wanted to develop authentic, meaningful relationships, to effectively treat clients as a whole - body, mind, and spirit. Nevertheless, after nearly four toilsome years of employment, it became clear to me that in order to deliver that type of holistic care, I would have to go into business on my own. I'm doing so not just to call all the shots (finding this is a lot more work), but I'm starting my own practice to take the time needed to truly listen to each individual and practice evidenced-based psychiatry in a way that incorporates faith and still stands by truth.
God wastes nothing, and He can use whatever experience or circumstance you find yourself in. I hope he uses my story to help others come near to him.
